Fourth Sunday of Easter

Dear OLA Parish Family,

Jesus, the Good Shepherd guardian of our souls, made three promises to His followers. He promised them everlasting life. If they accept Him and follow Him, they will have the life of God in them. Jesus also promised them a life that would know no end. Death would not be the end but the beginning; they would know the glory of indestructible life. Jesus promised a secure life. Jesus said nothing would snatch them out of His hand, not even sorrow and death, since He is everlasting life. Our lives are safe in His hands. The words that Jesus spoke upset many of the Jewish leaders. They did not understand how He could speak with the same authority that God spoke and claim to be equal with God.

We face the same choice. Jesus is either who he claims to be – the Son of God and Savior of the world – or the world’s greatest deluder. We cannot be indifferent to His claim. For those who accept Jesus as the Son of God, he offers peace and security of eternal life and joy with God. Jesus gives us the grace we need to answer His call. We must be attentive to His voice and submit fully to His wise rule. Draw near to the Good Shepherd and find peace and joy in His presence.

Training Requirements: The Policy for the Archdiocese of Santa Fe regarding the protection and safety of children requires volunteers or employees to update their certificate every five years. All employees and volunteers must complete the training before beginning employment or volunteering. If you are a current employee or volunteer and your training has exceeded five years, your certificate must be updated immediately to continue with your position. The options to meet your training follow:

The VIRTUS online training is in English or Spanish. Select the appropriate link below for the language of your choice.

Once you have completed your training, please provide a copy of your certificate to the parish office for our records.

OLA now processes online donations through Our Sunday Visitor for a minimal cost. If you want to try online giving, we have provided instructions in a short video guide for you to watch just underneath the Online Giving link, above. If you prefer written instructions to set up your account they are as follows:

Click on the online giving link above and this will take you to OSV Hub.

Click on GIVE NOW Enter the Gift Amount, Gift Type, (Recurring or One-time), the Frequency (Weekly, Monthly, Bi-weekly), and Date. If you want to make changes to these options, click on the arrow pointing down to the right of these options.

Select “Continue” and enter your Email address, Name, Payment Information, and Payment Method Address.

After you enter the first gift go to SIGN IN at the top right corner and log in to your account with the email address and password just created. Schedule additional gifts.

OLA Church is on the corner of Tennessee and Lomas.
From Wyoming, head west on Lomas, and from Louisana, head east on Lomas, turn south at Tennessee and make an immediate right into the church parking lot.

The Parish Office address is 811 Guaymas PL NE; turn south on Tennessee and make a right on Fruit Street. Head west on Fruit to the parking lot at the end of the street. The parish office is the building on the south side of the parking lot.
