If we wait\u00a0for the heavens to open and angels to\u00a0speak to us, we will be waiting a\u00a0lifetime. We are told in less spectacular\u00a0ways of God\u2019s presence and saving\u00a0activity on our behalf, but no less powerful or revealing.\u00a0\u00a0God does speak. God reveals divine presence in\u00a0the smile of another, in someone\u2019s generous offer, in\u00a0a plea for help, in the cry of the poor and the\u00a0oppressed, in the child needing reassurance, in the\u00a0aged needing a listening ear, in the sick needing a\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">consoling hand. This is how we \u201cmake known the\u00a0message\u201d: to reach out to another with God\u2019s\u00a0compassion, mercy, forgiveness, healing, love.\u00a0 The\u00a0mystery of Christmas in that God is incarnate. Today\u00a0we see not a Baby in the manger, but a saving God\u00a0working through and among us.
