Job Title:

Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School is currently seeking a 2nd Grade teacher to teacher half time (Religion, Math, Science, and Social Studies).    The teacher will teach half the day in cooperation with the current teacher who will teach the other half of the day with the primary responsibility for English Language Arts.   


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Teacher certification with an endorsement in elementary education or ability and willingness to seek alternative license


Candidate should be able to demonstrate:

  • Passion for, and understanding, effective instruction at the primary grade level.   
  • Ability to support elementary students in their spiritual and intellectual formation.
  • Ability to publicly support and live out the values of the Gospel as taught by the Catholic Church.
  • Ability to incorporate the Catholic Worldview into all content areas.
  • Ability to apply principles, theories, methods, techniques, and strategies pertaining to classroom instruction at the 2nd grade level. 
  • Understanding of curriculum design and mapping.
  • Ability to use educational technology in the classroom.
  • Knowledge of the standards-based instruction.
