First Sunday of Lent

Dear Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Family,

When life leads you into difficult, lonely, or overwhelming seasons, know that those moments are not without purpose. Just as Jesus was led into the wilderness to be tested and prepared, our hardest times can be the very seasons that strengthen our faith, sharpen our focus, and deepen our dependence on God. Hardship is not a sign of abandonment — it is often the preparation ground for something greater.

You do not have to face your struggles in your own strength. When temptation, doubt, or fear come knocking, lean on God’s word and trust that He will sustain you. The same Spirit that carried Jesus through forty days of hunger and trial is available to guide and empower you today. Stay humble, hold firm to your faith, and trust that God’s grace is more than enough to see you through.

Have a peaceful day.

Yours in Christ,
Father Edward C. Domme
