John the Baptist burned with one passion – to point others to Jesus Christ and the coming of His kingdom. John the Baptist was more than a prophet. He was the voice of the Consoler who made the way ready for the coming of the Messiah. Like John, we are called to testify to Christ’s transformative light and eternal truth. 

 

This Advent season invites us to “Prepare the way of the Lord; make straight his paths.” Let this be our charge: nurture peace within our hearts and live with compassion and love so that our existence becomes a living testimony, silently pointing others toward Jesus Christ.
