Dear Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Family,

 

Jesus began his ministry in Galilee, fulfilling the ancient prophecy that God’s salvation would reach all people. He proclaimed the Gospel—the good news of God’s kingdom—which brings us peace, hope, and truth. This message offers reconciliation with God, the promise of eternal life with him, and freedom from everything that separates us from His love. The Gospel is both God’s power to transform our lives and His wisdom to show us how to live as his beloved children. Through the Holy Spirit, we receive the strength to embrace this good news and live according to God’s truth.

 

Jesus calls us to repent; turn away from sin and turn toward the Lord with open hearts, embracing His love and truth. The Holy Spirit helps us recognize our mistakes and gives us the grace to change course. Faith is a beautiful gift from God. Through the Spirit, we come to know God personally through Jesus Christ, who gave himself completely on the cross out of profound love for us. The Holy Spirit moves our hearts and opens our minds’ eyes so that we see, understand, accept, and believe! In the coming year, may we all know the peace of Jesus as we journey through life.
