Dear Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Family,

 

The wise men from the East willingly left everything, their home and country, driven by a thirst for knowledge of God. The star of Bethlehem was revealed to them by God so they would find and worship Jesus. In the encounter of the wise men with Jesus, we see God’s plan to give His only Son as King and Savior, not only for the Jewish people but for all the nations. He came that both Jew and Gentile might find true and lasting peace and love with God.

 

God reveals to us the same light he revealed to the wise men. Faith is a gift from God. Through the Holy Spirit, He moves our hearts and opens our mind’s eyes so that we see, understand, accept, and believe! God wants to manifest Himself to you today and throughout the coming year. Respond with faith, giving God the greatest glory by dedicating your life to Him. May Christ’s love and peace illuminate your path, allowing others to see through you that His presence calms our fears and lights our way.
